Transfer credit policy
Due to the unique and specific nature of Mater Ecclesiae College’s program, transfer
credits are given on a limited basis. Transfer students are urged to consult with the Dean of Academic Affairs and the Registrar regarding a request for transfer credit(s). These credits are ordinarily given for general education requirement courses such as science, math, modern languages, social sciences, etc. If other courses are accepted for credit they must be shown to be substantially equivalent to Mater Ecclesiae courses in content, duration, and rigor. A transfer student must complete at least one academic year as a full-time student to graduate with a Mater Ecclesiae College degree. Courses completed at foreign institutions will be subject to formal credit evaluation procedures and verification by the respective country’s educational authorities. Only credit from institutions officially recognized by the foreign educational authorities will be considered.
